It’s that time of the year when temperatures are soaring high and you wish you had a way to cool down.  You aren’t the only one thinking about how to cool down. Your pets are too! It can be easy to forget about our furry friends, but they can get just as uncomfortable as we do on these hot summer days.  Here are some quick and easy tips to help keep your pets nice and cool all summer long.

• Shade! It can reduce risk of heat related injuries.
• Keep moving, but only during the early morning or evening hours to avoid the heat.
• Hydration!  Keep the water coming for you and your pet.  Even place a kiddie pool outside so you and your pup can take a cool dip in the afternoon.
• Keep alert to the signs and symptoms of heat stroke!  Take proper precautions to ensure the health and safety of your furry friends.
