Rescue Rooter Portland is saving drains, pipes, and lives!

Last September, the team at Rescue Rooter Portland held its first ever blood drive during ARS week.  ARS week is held every year to say thank you to employees and to give back to the community.  The Portland team enthusiastically chose to help the American Red Cross.  The positive response was so overwhelming the team decided to hold quarterly blood drives!

The participation at each drive has increased and has been very encouraging to the team and the American Red Cross.  According to the American Red Cross, the 105 pints of blood they have raised as a group during the past four events has potentially saved the lives of approximately 315 people.  They are also raising awareness within their community to participate in this fantastic event.  They have two additional blood drives planned for July and September.  The team goal is to collect at least 250 pints of blood to commemorate one year of donations!
