YMCA 2015 Corporate Games
For the third year in a row, the American Residential Services Corporate Office has sponsored and participated in the YMCA Corporate Games. The YMCA of Memphis holds this event once a year to raise money for different community programs and it is also a team event that combines healthy living and a little healthy competition among local organizations.The games were held the week of September 21-27, 2015. There were 44 teams and over 1,000 participants that competed in the following games: kickball, corn-hole, basketball, indoor triathlon, dodgeball, volleyball, tug-of-war, sack race, three-legged race, water balloon toss, horseshoes, and hopper-ball relay race.
The week kicked off with the always entertaining kickball game. Even though we did not place, we played with a lot of heart and had a great time. Wednesday evening, our team went head to head against the Hilton group in a very close game of corn-hole. Even though we were not able to walk away with a win we still had tons of fun! On Friday, we participated in the triathlon for the first time and finished every leg of the race! ARS won 1st place in the three-legged race that took place on field day. This is the first time ARS has won first place in an event!
Team ARS may have only placed in one event, but a great time was had by all! We look forward to the 2016 games! Check out the pictures of our team and the events on Facebook.
